RADAR-base platform apart from the data ingesting apps are distributed as docker containers and integrated and orchestrated using Docker-compose. A basic working knowledge of docker containers and docker-compose are required to understand the deployment process for the platform.
Recommended server specifications.
The RADAR-base platform can be easily integrated in existing IT infrastructure or run autonomously in the cloud or on physical (on-premise) servers. To set up an (virtual) environment for a RADAR-base instance, the following requirements are recommended:
- CPU: 4-core CPU
- RAM: 16 GB memory
- SSD: An SSD for the operating system and docker (at least 50 GB)
- HDD: 1 x 1 TB spinning disks for redundancy
This setup is sufficient for continuous collection of high-frequency data from up to 1000 study participants for a study duration of 12 months using the sensors of the passive app, with dashboard graphs disabled. See here for a overview of integrated data streams from smartphone sensors or wearable devices.
